Lunada is Beer Sheva's children's museum, named for the Mandel family: Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel gave 5 million dollars towards building it, and its site says its content was conceived, curated and developed for the Beer Sheva municipality. Over three floors and 4,000 square metres it has eight knowledge spaces with more than 50 exhibits and installations, and two outdoor areas. Through play, children meet everyday subjects such as managing time, money and food, communication between people, other cultures and languages, culture and art, the solar system and the Earth. The museum suits children from the age of one to 12, children under 16 come with an adult, and the visit is made without shoes, so its site suggests bringing socks.
