The story printed on Caldo's menu begins in 2012, when its founder set out to make pizza that was nothing like the usual: he travelled and tasted, came home to work on recipes with unusual toppings, and opened CALDO, Art Pizza Bar. The menu lists 28 pizzas, from margherita to polenta with an egg yolk and six with fish such as anchovies, sardines and spicy tuna, alongside starters such as brie baked in a pan, salads, fresh pastas, gnocchi and filled ravioli; its menu says everything is made by hand and nothing is prepared in advance. Three beers come on draught, among them a red house lager, and its five cocktails cost 39 shekels each. It opens at 17:00 from Sunday to Thursday and at 21:00 on Saturday night, and is closed on Friday.
