A Detroit-style pizza place in the Einstein commercial centre, baking thick rectangular pies with a crisp cheese edge

Frico is a pizza place in the Einstein commercial centre, at 139 Einstein Street in Haifa, and part of the Haifa restaurant group behind Sinta Bar, whose other places its site links. It bakes Detroit-style pizza, which its site traces to the city of Detroit in Michigan: the pie is baked in a special rectangular pan that imitates frying, and the dough, made from three kinds of flour, rises for 72 hours, so it comes out thick, soft in the middle and crisp at the bottom and edges. The frico is the crisp lace where the cheese meets the side of the pan. The menu has red and white pizzas, vegan ones and a build-your-own pie, with focaccia and cannelloni on the side, and it opens every day from 11:00 to 22:30.
