House of Nirvana is a restaurant on the seafront at 10 David Elazar Street in Haifa. Its site calls Nirvana a local Haifa institution that stood by the water long before its present owners, and says that instead of updating it they took it apart and built it anew. It is part of BCN Group, and this time, the site says, the group chose to be kosher, as a choice and not as a limit. The open kitchen is led by a chef and works with fresh fish, ripe cheeses and vegetables, from breakfasts through raw fish plates to dishes from the taboon. On chosen evenings a DJ plays, and on Fridays there is a Kabbalat Shabbat with a DJ. It closes at 14:00 on Friday and reopens about an hour after Shabbat ends.
