The visitor centre of Jerusalem Wineries at the Montefiore Windmill in Mishkenot Sha'ananim, overlooking the Old City, with tastings of the wines of the city's own winery.

Jerusalem Wineries opened this visitor centre at the Montefiore Windmill in Mishkenot Sha'ananim, its site says, to tie the winery to the city, tell the story of the site and bring visitors to the neighbourhood for a glass of local wine; on some days the tastings are held inside the windmill itself. A tasting of three wines takes about 40 minutes and costs 60 shekels a person, five wines take about 50 minutes for 100, and a 90 minute wine evening for groups of at least 12, booked ahead, is 280 shekels a person; the centre also hosts private events and company days. Its site traces the winery to one Yona and Tzipora Mendelson founded in the Old City; it moved to the Beit Yisrael neighbourhood after the War of Independence and to the north of the city in 1976, and the Guetta family bought it in 2006 and named it Jerusalem Wineries, an agricultural cooperative and, by its own account, the only winery working in Jerusalem. Its vineyards are in the Jerusalem Hills, the Judean Lowlands and on the slopes of Mount Carmel, its leading series is The Windmill Project, and its site says all its wines are mehadrin kosher all year.
