A Moroccan restaurant in Beer Sheva that has run for 52 years, now cooked by the founders' son, chef Bebar Ben Moyal.

Yakota has served Moroccan food in Beer Sheva for 52 years, by its own account, and its chef and owner, Bebar Ben Moyal, is the second generation to run it, carrying on his parents' tradition. It is named after his mother: its site says the name means diamond. The kitchen works from the secrets of the original Moroccan cooking with touches of today's, and the restaurant sits in a reddish stone house, with light blue walls traced in gold, laid tables, dishes brought from Morocco, sofas in colourful Moroccan upholstery and lamps from Morocco. It opens every day from late morning, closes on Friday when Shabbat begins and reopens on Saturday night once Shabbat ends.
