The sports centre at Kiryat Edmond J. Safra, on the Hebrew University's Givat Ram campus, is run by the Cosell association, and its about page says the university's sport moved here from rented halls when the national and university stadium opened in 1958, followed by the sports hall in 1964 and the pool and squash courts in 1968. Membership covers the gym complex, a renovated heated indoor pool that its page calls the largest in the city, the tennis club and the athletics stadium, and a studio holds more than 200 classes a month for an extra charge. The gym complex has four areas (aerobic machines with personal screens, flexibility and stretching, strength machines and free weights), is for ages 18 and up, and runs guided abdominal workshops on weekday evenings and Friday mornings. Members of its health club get upgraded locker rooms, a towel and the spa area with a dry and a wet sauna and a jacuzzi, and a large supervised car park sits beside the centre. The gym complex is open from 06:15 to 22:30 from Monday to Thursday, from 11:00 on Sunday, from 07:00 to 17:00 on Friday and from 08:00 to 17:00 on Saturday.

The sauna and jacuzzi area keeps its own hours (12:00 to 22:00 on Sunday, from 07:00 on weekdays to 22:00 on Monday and Wednesday and 19:30 on Tuesday and Thursday, 08:00 to 16:30 on Friday and 09:00 to 17:00 on Saturday), the pool's are on a page of their own, and the customer office is closed on Friday and Saturday.
