A museum of the material culture of the Land of Israel in Ramat Aviv, with pavilions of glass, coins, ceramics and postal history spread through gardens around the Tel Qasile excavations

MUZA, the Eretz Israel Museum, opened in May 1959 as the Museum Haaretz, took its present name in 1983 and its MUZA brand in 2015, and its site says it holds some of Israel's largest collections of archaeology, ethnography, coins, glass, stamps, photography and local folklore. It spreads over grounds by Ramat Aviv above the Yarkon, as pavilions set in gardens, the early ones designed by the architect Werner Joseph Wittkower and now listed for conservation, among them pavilions for glass across 3,000 years, coins, ceramics, copper, postal history, and Jewish culture and folklore. At its heart is Tel Qasile, which its site calls the first archaeological site excavated in the State of Israel, and its gardens hold ancient mosaic floors, winepresses and a restored olive press. A free public orchard of about 90 dunams opens onto its western side,, and changing exhibitions fill the Rothschild Center and the Tower Gallery.
