Its site says the Israeli Museum at the Yitzhak Rabin Center tells the story of Israel from the forming Jewish community of the 1920s to the assassination of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, from the great events to the small moments. A visit begins in a round hall set as Kings of Israel Square on 4 November 1995, the night of the assassination, and continues down a spiral path that follows Rabin's own life and opens onto large rooms on the state and on Israeli society. Within the rooms, red steel triangles breaking out of the walls mark the disputes that have divided Israeli society, and a timeline on the floor sets world events beside local ones. A biographical corridor shows his public roles as soldier, chief of staff, ambassador, defence minister and prime minister on one side and his family life on the other.
