A museum of the Palmach, the Haganah's strike companies before the state, at Beit HaPalmach in Ramat Aviv, seen on guided tours through two permanent exhibitions

The Palmach Museum opened in May 2000 at Beit HaPalmach on Chaim Levanon Street, founded by the Dor HaPalmach association to pass on the heritage of the Palmach, and its site says more than a million people have visited since. It has two permanent exhibitions, "Palmach Journey" and "Yad LaGahal", the second on Holocaust survivors and their part in the War of Independence, and each visit takes in one of them. Individual visitors join a guided tour of about an hour and a half in Palmach Journey or an hour in Yad LaGahal, in groups of up to 25 booked in advance, and visits beyond the basic tour can be arranged in the museum's collections. Groups sometimes meet Palmach veterans, and changing exhibitions are shown in the lobby.
