Tel Aviv-Yafo's city museum, opened in 2024 in the historic town hall on Bialik Square, telling the city's story through its people

The Tel Aviv-Yafo City Museum, named for Shoshana and Zvulun Tomer, opened in 2024 on the renewed Bialik Square as a joint initiative of the Tel Aviv Foundation and the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality. Its building at 27 Bialik Street was the historic town hall, where the city council met until 1962, and Meir Dizengoff's office has been conserved and can be visited: there visitors can feel like the mayor and join debates on new answers to old city questions. Each floor tells the history of the first Hebrew city and of Jaffa beside it through people's stories, on touch screens, in a digital poster collection, at a station of 3D-printed objects, an intercom and letter boxes, from Ajami and Neve Sharet to Shapira and Ramat Aviv. Its site adds a café, a garden open free, a balcony and a roof.
