Two escape rooms in central Jerusalem, The Strange Case and Don Pablo, closed on Shabbat and open on Saturday night

5959 Escape Rooms runs two rooms at 2 Aristobulos Street in the centre of Jerusalem, a short walk from public transport, its site says. The Strange Case is based on the story of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and set in London, where a group of tourists sheltering from the rain is locked into Dr Jekyll's house; its site calls it creepy but not scary, with a difficulty of 8 out of 10. Don Pablo, a technological room with a difficulty of 8.5, goes back to Medellín at the end of the 1980s, where players set out to blow up Pablo Escobar's laboratory. Each game lasts 60 minutes for 2 to 8 players (the rooms can take one or two more), children aged 9 and under come free, and under-13s play only with an adult. Its site says the rooms suit almost everyone, religious and Haredi visitors included, in their content, modesty and keeping of Shabbat, and it hosts company team days and large groups.
