A family desert farm on the Wine Route north of Mitzpe Ramon, with mud-brick cabins, Negev tents, khans for groups and a campsite among its vines and olive trees

Noam Farm in the Desert is a family farm on the Wine Route north of Mitzpe Ramon, 800 metres above sea level, beside the Ramon reserve, the crater and the Tzinim Cliff reserve. It was set up in 1997 by Iris and Benny Harari, who had served many years in the army, at the initiative of their son Dror, then in eleventh grade, on bare land with no water or power; the family planted vines, olives, pomegranates and a fruit orchard, its grapes became wine, and it opened its first two cabins in 2010. The cabins are built of mud bricks and earth plaster, each with a bedroom facing the vineyard, a kitchenette, a shaded porch and a private paddling pool, and their guests get breakfast brought to the cabin. Around them are desert tents, a glamping dome, five khans for groups and a campsite with caravan parking, for families, cyclists, motorcyclists, jeep drivers and hikers.
