Shaykale is a hummus restaurant on Yosef Lishanski Boulevard, and its site tells how it began as a sixteen-year-old's sketches in 1997, went by way of a pub its founders ran in western Rishon LeZion from 2004, and opened as a small hummus place in 2008. It serves plates of hummus, shakshuka, falafel and a daily soup, and the same hummus, made to the original recipe of 2008, is sold in tubs of 250 and 500 grams in shops around the country. It also caters events and gives hummus-making workshops. Mako headlined its piece on it "the tastiest hummus hides in a filling station", and ynet's restaurant critic Kobi Rubin wrote that he had never tasted hummus like it.
