A bistro on Ahad Ha'Am Street, open since 1997 and known for its schnitzel

Café Noir opened in 1997 on Ahad Ha'Am Street, founded by the late Rafi Bader and Gideon Eliyahu, who set out to bring a European food culture to the tastes of Tel Aviv. Its site calls the kitchen French-Italian with Mediterranean touches: raw fish, handmade pasta and the schnitzel it is known for, in chicken, veal or pork, beside a list of specials that changes with the season. By its own account lunch is busy and the evening is romantic. It is open every day from noon to 23:00, takes table bookings and sends take away orders through its site.
