The Rustico group opened its first restaurant on Rothschild Boulevard in 2005, and its site says Rustico Basel followed in 2009 to serve a wider crowd; it has cooked Italian food for two decades, modern Italy that keeps to tradition. Its booking page shows pizzas, pastas, salads, starters such as carpaccio and ceviche and fish from the taboon, and a separate wine room with a cabinet of wines for private events. From Monday to Thursday the booking page lists business lunches from 12:00 to 16:00 at 10% off the menu and a happy hour from 16:00 to 18:30. The restaurant opens on Sunday from 18:00 to 22:30 and from Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 22:30.
