Royal Plaza is a hotel of 160 rooms and suites on a small hill in the south of Tiberias, in a quiet area that looks out over the Sea of Galilee and the Golan. Its site puts the lakeshore, the Tiberias hot springs, the Hamat Tiberias national park and the Tomb of Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes a short walk away. From Passover to Sukkot guests have a half-Olympic pool with a children's pool and a toddlers' pool, a jacuzzi and dry and wet saunas, and the hotel also has a restaurant, a lobby bar, an English-style pub, a large synagogue, a children's playroom and a conference hall for up to 300 people. The front desk is staffed around the clock, parking is free, and the staff speak Hebrew, English and Arabic. The hotel is on the Tiberias religious council's kosher list.
