Tomoka is an Asian restaurant on the third floor of the Ofer Grand Canyon mall in Haifa. Its site says the name means true friendship in Japanese, and that the kitchen draws on the best of Asian cooking, with a busy bar and drinks beside it. The menu runs from miso and tom yam soups, ramen, dumplings and bao to stir-fried noodles, rice dishes and curries, and on to a long sushi list of nigiri, sashimi, maki, poke bowls and the house special rolls, with dishes marked vegan or gluten-free and a children's menu. There are cosy seating corners and seats at the bar. It opens from 11:00 on weekdays and Friday, and on Saturday evening from 18:00.
