Ima has cooked for more than four decades from recipes kept for generations in Iraqi, Kurdish and Jerusalem kitchens, its site says. Its kubbeh are made by hand on the spot one by one, in soups such as hamusta, shwandariya (beetroot) and pumpkin, and fried as nabulsieh and halab, beside stuffed vegetables, stews such as siniyeh and meatballs, and meat from a charcoal oven served with fresh salads. It is kosher under the Jerusalem Rabbinate, closes for Shabbat, and takes evening events for 25 to 110 guests. It also has a takeaway menu and delivers.
