A museum of Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip and of the Gush Katif communities, opened in 2008 on Sha'arei Tsedek Street in central Jerusalem

The Gush Katif Museum in Jerusalem opened in August 2008 and tells the story of Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip from the Hasmonean period to the present day. Its site says it surveys 3,000 years of Jewish settlement in the region and the founding of the Gush Katif communities after the Six Day War and their 35 years, and it calls itself a memorial to that chapter. On show are dozens of items, among them the menorah of the Netzarim synagogue, which its site says the residents of Netzarim carried to the Western Wall on the day of the evacuation, documentation of the synagogues of Gush Katif, a reconstructed mosaic and finds from ancient Gaza, and records of the communities' farms, businesses and struggle. It also holds art, photographs, a library and a memorial room for residents of Gush Katif who fell in Israel's wars and in attacks, and group visits include a guided tour and a 40-minute film.
