The heritage centre of Menachem Begin on the ridge facing Mount Zion and the Old City walls, whose museum takes visitors through his life on a guided audiovisual tour

The Menachem Begin Heritage Center is a centre for culture, tourism and research that works to pass on the legacy of Menachem Begin, commander of the Irgun, leader of the opposition in the Knesset and prime minister of Israel. It stands on the Hinnom ridge looking out at Mount Zion and the walls of the Old City, and holds cultural and educational events, museum tours and research. The museum is an audiovisual journey through Begin's life, with rare films, a soundtrack, reconstructions and original items, and every visit is a guided tour of about 75 minutes, booked in advance, with half an hour between tours. Simultaneous translation is offered in English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and Portuguese, and the museum is accessible to strollers and wheelchairs.
