The museum of Theodor Herzl's life at the Herzl Center on Mount Herzl, from late 19th-century Paris and the congress hall in Basel to his own study, brought from Vienna

The Herzl Center was set up to present Theodor Herzl, the visionary of the state, as a symbol of a present-day Zionist outlook, and it runs activities, workshops, tours and events that link his vision with Israel today. In the Herzl Museum visitors follow his Zionist life, starting in the Paris of the end of the 19th century, entering the hall of the congresses in Basel and visiting his original study, brought from Vienna, before arriving in the present day. A visit takes about an hour, is booked in advance, and is offered in Hebrew, English, Russian, Spanish, French, German, Arabic, Amharic and Mandarin. Its site says the centre suits every age, from kindergarten to retirees, and is accessible to visitors with physical and cognitive disabilities.
