What happens in Ki Teitzei

The portion holds more commandments than any other, over seventy. Among them are returning lost property, helping a neighbour's fallen animal, sending away the mother bird before taking her young, building a railing round a roof, paying a worker the same day, leaving the forgotten sheaf for the poor, not muzzling an ox as it threshes, honest weights, and many laws of family life and marriage. It ends with the command to remember what Amalek did.

“When thou goest forth to battle against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God delivereth them into thy hands, and thou carriest them away captive,”

Deuteronomy 21:10, the opening verse, in the 1917 Jewish Publication Society translation.
