What happens in Tzav

Moses tells Aaron and his sons how to carry out the offerings: the fire on the altar is never to go out, and the portion gives the priests' part in the burnt, meal, sin, guilt and peace offerings. Moses then consecrates Aaron and his sons before the whole community, dressing them in their garments and anointing them and the Tabernacle with oil, and they stay at the Tent of Meeting for seven days.

“Command Aaron and his sons, saying: This is the law of the burnt-offering: it is that which goeth up on its firewood upon the altar all night unto the morning; and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning thereby.”

Leviticus 6:2, the verse after the portion's opening line, in the 1917 Jewish Publication Society translation.
