What happens in Noach
Noah builds an ark and saves his family and the animals from the flood. When the waters go down, God promises never again to destroy the world by flood and sets the rainbow as the sign. Noah plants a vineyard, and his sons' descendants spread across the earth. People build the Tower of Babel, their language is confused and they are scattered. The portion ends with the line from Shem to Abram.
“These are the generations of Noah. Noah was in his generations a man righteous and wholehearted; Noah walked with God.”
