What happens in Re'eh

Moses sets before the people a blessing and a curse, to be proclaimed from Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal. Offerings are to be brought only to the place God will choose. The portion warns against false prophets and idol worship, repeats the laws of kashrut, and gives the laws of tithes, of cancelling debts in the seventh year, of giving to the poor, of freeing Hebrew servants and of the three pilgrim festivals.

“Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse:”

Deuteronomy 11:26, the opening verse, in the 1917 Jewish Publication Society translation.
